What was the highlight of Casa Nomade Hotel Boutique

Great location, facilities a little rough but could be a good value for your money

The location of the hotel was excellent- right near all the cute things in Cerro Concepcion. The staff was extremely helpful with parking; which did seem very daunting at first considering we drove up the cerro and the hotel is a the end of a dead end street. We had rented a car to drive to several locations around Chile, but would not recommend having a car at this location. Breakfast was just ok, but having it on the small terrace was very nice. Great views from up there! On a final good note, the price was really great. I think we paid around $85 US/ night, so I'd say we got a good value for the price.

The hotel didn't meet my expectations probably because I didn't read enough reviews. It didn't have air conditioning, so the first night we slept with windows open. Our room was at the front of the building and although it wasn't loud all night, the few times it was very loud woke us up and we never were quite cool enough. The second night we kept windows open while at dinner and then closed them and had the fan on (standing floor fan) and we were much more comfortable. My brother and sister-in-law had a smaller room facing the back of the building and they said they were very comfortable and they really enjoyed their stay. Hot water came and went, luckily I always had it, but my husband didn't always for his showers. We were told upon check in that we would need to pay cash in order to avoid the ~19% tax on hotels since we were international tourists. Glad they told us upon arrival, but this seemed a little strange. This was our third hotel to stay at in Chile and none of the others made us pay cash to avoid the tax that we shouldn't have had to pay.

Very poor WiFi, problematic payment

Very nice location, good breakfast. The girls in the reception are very willing

WiFi very very poor, it falls often totally down. Practically unusable. Problematic payment: You cannot pay the stay by card without VAT!!!! If you as foreigner want to avoid the 19% VAT, you need to pay cash. How stupid!!!

The location was perfect. The staff was very helpful and the hotel is charming. Breakfast on the roof top patio was the best!

The sheet would be due for renewal. Other then that... all was good!

A very interesting place to stay in a very interesting city.

Great location, within walking distance of many restaurants, beautiful view of the harbor from the rooftop terrace. All the staff were very accomodating and the included breakfast was very good.

Very steep stairs to the rooms, which may be difficult for anyone with mobility problems or large pieces of luggage. The room was rather small, with little room for the luggage. It was fine for a one or two night stay.

The property was in a beautiful location in Cerro Concepcion...

The property was in a beautiful location in Cerro Concepcion, in the old town which has so many restaurants and cafes around. Close walking proximity to everything you need. Breakfast was amazing! The hotel had a very comfortable feel and a cozy interior. The rooftop had amazing views and the sunsets were brilliant to watch from there. The staff spoke basic English but were extremely friendly and helpful even with the language barriers. The rooms were cozy and the shower was amazing, great water pressure and an abundance of hot water! The wifi was a little slow in the rooms but enough to get what you need done. Overall I would highly recommend staying here, I would happily stay again!

The rooms were a little cold in the evenings and the wifi was a little slow, but it wouldn’t stop me staying here.

In a really great area.

In a really great area. Up the hill in the old district. Very Bohemian and wonderful walking and excellent and beautiful views.the art work (graffiti) on the buildings is extraordinary and at night even more so.

breakfest was superb. location very good. they have beautiful terrace, probably best view in town, just take your own bear, or wine, and you can enjoy it. plus you can reach hotel buy car, and i guess it is important in this city. as walking frew the narrow streats we have seen poor turists draging there owne suitcases frew the steep stairs

Great location, friendly staff in a small boutique hotel.

Very friendly helpful staff who put in extra effort when our luggage diidnt arrive. Fabulous location in the heart of the action. Quiet, cosy and very clean. Good breakfast.

There is a 19% accommodation tax levied by the government which only applies if you pay by credit card so it is a lot cheaper to pay in cash. USD.

A pleasant hotel in a good location

This is a very well located hotel, both for lovers of street art and graffiti and access to the town centre. The outstanding feature was being able to have a very pleasant breakfast on a roof top balcony overlooking the harbour

Unfortunately (and yes I should have taken more Spanish lessons before I went), it was really difficult to communicate with, or find out anything about the local area from, the young receptionists. Every request was met with pleasant incredulity. It seemed that the place sorely needed a manager in attendance. Even with a Sat Nav, due to the dense network of roads and large number of one way streets in the neighbourhood, it was a very difficult hotel to get to and from.
